Abstract

All Spanish-speaking criminal lawyers admire the scientific work of Luis Jiménez de Asúa, especially those from America, where his work is known in more detail than in Spain. The reason for that is that the Spanish professor was a great traveler ever since he went into exile. He did not hesitate to visit those countries to which he was invited in order to give lectures and courses. The paper seeks to reconstruct the four visits Luis Jiménez de Asúa paid to Brazil between 1927 and 1955, and to highlight the traces and lines of thought as well as the continuities and ruptures that might exist throughout his visits to Brazil.
