Abstract

We aim to investigate the elective affinities between Arthur de Gobineau and Paulo Prado through the analysis of the great heroes in their historical epics Aryan and Bandeirante, respectively. The analysis is based on the hypothesis that both share a certain aristocratic ethos that, despite their differences, allows them to place their works in dialogue.
